Landscape + CityScape Painting | Acrylic + Watercolor Techniques

For Adults 18 yrs + over

In this relaxing evening class course, learn how to capture your favorite landscapes or cityscapes in fully realized canvases! In this class you can choose to work in watercolor on paper or acrylic paint on canvas to capture your settings. We will study representational, impressionistic and expressionistic or abstract techniques in picturesque, pastoral or sublime vistas, with results good enough to proudly hang in your own home or give as gifts! We welcome you to bring photos of places to work from in class, choosing personal places that have meaning to you will help give your work a more unique flavor. This class works really well for beginner to intermediate levels and skills.

Art Supplies

  • CANVAS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR COURSE FEE. Please purchase a canvas and bring it with you to class, we recommend a medium size canvas to begin with. Canvas may be purchased at your local art store (support small business when you can!). Please note you may need more than one canvas for a full course pkg. If you are working in watercolor please bring a canvas designed for watercolor painting, or we can supply you with watercolor paper.

  • Please note a limited selection of Canvas can also be purchased in our studio for $35 and upwards. If you are purchasing a canvas from our studio, payment must be completed at class time, please note we do NOT offer IOU’s so please have the exact change with you.

  • Watercolor and/ or acrylic paint + the use of brushes are supplied.

  • Speciality supplies like gloss/ glazes, or pouring mediums and glazes are NOT supplied , if you require these materials please bring them with you to class.

  • You are very welcome to bring photos of landscapes or cityscapes that inspire you or have personal meaning for you to class to work from.
