In this exciting painting class the work of famous artists is the focus and children get an inside view into some amazing modern artists who have come and gone and left their indelible mark on popular culture. Children will be given a brief background- with a bit of art history thrown in and an overview into the lifework of unique artists like: Frida Kahlo, Basquiat, Keith Haring, Rothko, Warhol, Van Gogh and more and their individual processes.We take a look at some truly amazing techniques these artists used and get to experiment with them and incorporate them into our own pieces! Each week we will look at a different artist and complete a painting using particular applications, techniques + styles!
